Since the Earth Autopsy launch back in December 2017, the visualisation tool has been presented to a variety of stakeholders and international audiences. Earth Autopsy has been developed by City of Norrköping in cooperation with a local company.

Good mood and inspiring people seem to be what unites everyone working with the Baltic Urban Lab project. This last project meeting was no different. The 3rd project meeting of Baltic Urban Lab project was held on 14-15 February 2018 in Turku, Finland. The focus was on discussing the results so far and the finalisation of the project outputs.

Soil remediation process kicked off in Norrköping

The latest news from the Norrköping's Pilot Site highlight the start of the processes of soil remediation in the area and the finalization of the visualization tool. uring the last few weeks, the soil cleaning process has started in the Inner Harbour - first out is the so-called Kolkajen, furthest in the east in the area. The graffiti walls that were located in the area have now been moved a few hundred meters further away to make room for the ground cleaning works.

Norrköping's Joint Pilot Review Day produced suggestions with great potential

On 14 June 2017,  urban planners working on the Baltic Urban Lab project came together to review the activities in Norrköping's Pilot Site - Inner Harbour (Inre Hamnen in Swedish).

Baltic Urban Lab workshop II encouraged urban planners and visualization experts to test 3D visualization tools

On 15 June 2017, around 50 urban planners, researchers, city officials and visualization experts came together in Norrköping to test and learn more from the practical examples from Sweden and Finland of 3D models, visualization tools and other interactive participation tools to support public participation.

In the Pilot Site of Norrköping, the development of the new visualization tool has been making great progress. The aim of this new tool is to improve the capability of municipalities to make complex and costly environmental issues such as soil remediation, adaptation to rising sea levels and handling changing ground water levels understandable to common people.
